Industry Placement Reunion
A reunion of the 2011/12 Industry Placement Scholarship participants was held at The University of Western Australia on the 21st of April. Students from all years are invited to attend the event that will include an opportunity to catch up with each other whilst also learning about opportunities that are available to them in the future.
Many industry mentors and presenters from the camps attended the lunch to catch up with the past PICSE IPS students and to speak about volunteer opportunities within their research. This opportunity was available exclusively to PICSE students as the invited Industry Mentors had experienced working with the high quality students through the PICSE program and were keen to invite these students back to get involved in their research. As all students are consistently informed, volunteering is great way to your foot in the door of a desired industry and the PICSE Reunion is a perfect opportunity to find out how to get involved.
