Reporting Back Session (RBS)
The ‘Industry Placement Scholarship’ program consists of a free five-day Residential Camp at UWA from the 3rd-7th December and five days of ‘Industry Placement’ in January, followed by the Reporting back Session on Friday evening the Friday 1st of February 2013.
Following the Industry Placement, students participate in the Reporting Back Session where we get to hear all about the different experiences of the placement program. During this event, students will be awarded a scholarship cheque of $300 and a Certificate of Completion for the program.
The Reporting Back Session forms part of the student Residential Camp and Industry Placement scholarship program. For students applying into the scholarship for 2012/13, the Reporting Back Session will be held on Friday the 1st of Februrary 2013 at UWA.
The Reporting Back Session is a fantastic opportunity for the students who have completed the camp and placement to tell their friends, family, and sponsors of the program about their experiences. The presentations given by students in the past were of an exceptionally high calibre and all attendees were very impressed by their communication skills and professionalism.
Students are also required to provide a written report of their experiences to the Science Education Officer that will be collated into a booklet and distributed to all of the industry partners who took on one of our students for their placement experience. It will also be given to all of the funding partners at both a state and national level.

Belinda Pope will be conducting school visits to speak to Year 11 and 12 classes regarding career opportunities in the Primary Industries as well as this amazing scholarship. If you would like to book your school in for a visit, contact Belinda at picse-fnas@uwa.edu.au.
Applications are open year round and the closing date is the 21st of September 2012. Applicants will be short-listed and interviews conducted in the first half of October.
