The goal for this year’s USC PICSE program is to have 20 students complete the Industry Placement and Reporting Back Session components of the USC PICSE program.

1. Make focus relevant to students, so that they consider tertiary science/education studies at USC
2. Developing strong linkages between schools, local industry and USC
3. Increasing the university’s profile within the local community

5. Changing perceptions of students and teachers about careers in industry, science and education

Quantitative Returns

1. Portfolio of evidence of regional engagement
2. Involve more primary industries in the program from year to year
3. Increase the number of students in different year groupings participating in the program
4. Increase the number of teachers involved in the PD days from year to year
5. Provide real world relevant resources for science teachers
