The UNE PICSE program has recently been accredited with the NSW Institute of Teachers. This means that the Teachers PD event will be recognised by the Institute and those involved will be accredited for their attendance.

Students excited to show their research projects to ‘real’ scientists
On Monday Sept 12, more than 100 science students from schools around the New England North West region presented their individual projects to scientists at the University of New England at the annual UNE PICSE Science Investigation Awards.
Students travelled from secondary schools in Armidale, Gunnedah, Inverell, Tamworth and Walcha. After spending some time designing, completing and assessing the results of science investigation projects completed in schools, the students then extended these projects by showcasing their work to scientists and competing for cash prizes at this event.
