Professional Development:
In 2011PICSE - GrowSmart ran a two day teacher Professional Development Activity on December 6th and 7th. The theme was The Science of Food and Fibre Security'. The activity contained a mixture of industry visits and laboratory activities. A feature of the program was a visit to a dry land farm during the wheat harvest. Teachers were able to ride in the harvesters to see the GPS auto steer technology in action! There was also an opportunity for teachers to try out the new CD ROM teaching resources which are available to schools free of charge.
